Peugeot's new generation 308, due in Ireland in time for the 141 registration season, has achieved a 5-star rating in all elements of the ENCAP crash test regime, writes Brian Byrne.
These elements are adult protection, child protection, pedestrian protection and safety assist.
The new 308 will have as standard cruise control-speed limiter, ESP, ASR+ traction control, six airbags, 3-point anchorage Isofix mountings, and electric parking brake and hill start assist from level 2 trim models.
