Subaru XV Crossover
From the start of April, all new Subaru cars come with a 5 Year / 160,000 kilometre warranty, writes Trish Whelan.

The cover comprises a 'bumper to bumper' warranty for 3 years / 100,000kms, whichever is sooner, plus a further 2 year warranty (powertrain items only, excluding clutch), to a maximum of 160,000kms.

All Subaru cars now also benefit from a 12 year anti-perforation warranty, Subaru Assist, and 3 year roadside assistance.

The 5-year warranty reaffirms Subaru's commitment to offer guaranteed quality, with confidence, to Irish customers," says Neville Matthews, Managing Director at Subaru Ireland. He adds that the 'legendary Subaru build quality, coupled with this fully transferrable warranty, further enhances the vehicles' residual value'.

Subaru is ranked first in the league table for car brands' electrical reliability according to the latest data released by Warranty Direct in the UK. Electrical reliability is becoming increasingly important, as cars become more sophisticated and feature greater levels of advanced electronics.
