SsangYong supports Four Peaks Challenge 2014

SsangYong Motors Ireland have lent their support to the Focus Ireland Four Peaks Challenge 2014 which takes place this weekend 6-8 June, writes Trish Whelan.

The Korean car brand has donated a courtesy vehicle for the duration of the event which will see more than 300 people climb the highest peak in each of the four provinces of Ireland.

Last year, over €200,000 was raised by the event and since then, the ongoing impact of the recession has seen an increase in demand for Focus Ireland's services. Forty five teams of friends, family members and colleagues are taking part this year as well as a number of individuals.

Joe Harris, CEO SsangYong Motors Ireland says they are delighted to loan a seven-seater Rodius to this worthy fundraising cause which will help a growing number of people who have found themselves come into hard times. He wished all participants and staff members of Focus Ireland who will be taking on the highest peak in each province the very best of luck.

The peaks climbed will be Mt. Carrantoughill, Co Kerry; Mt. Mweelrea in Co Mayo; Slieve Donard in Co Down, and Lugnaquilla in Co Wicklow.
