Peugeot has rolled out the new Boxer large van in Ireland at a starting price of €22,000 plus delivery charges.
The Boxer is available with five payload weights, 1155kg-1525kg and in three lengths and two heights. Load volumes range from 8-13.3 cu m
It has a strengthened body structure, new mechanisms for the sliding side doors and strengthened rear doors, larger brakes, a new design for suspension damper brackets and a range of 110/130hp 2.2-litre HDi engines with a new injection system.
The grille shape is inspired by the new Peugeot 308, European Car of the Year and now includes daytime running lamps as standard. There are new bumpers with recesses which serve as steps to facilitate cleaning the windscreen.
The dashboard houses a new control panel with Bluetooth hands-free telephone operation and a USB port as standard. There are new seat materials and various storage areas include a document holder and writing table built into the folding backrest of the central seat.
A speed warning alert, ABS, Emergency Braking Assistance (EBA), driver’s airbag and Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) are also standard features.
The standard Load Adaptive Control (LAC) function adapts the point at which the ESP intervenes, according to the load in the vehicle and its distribution, to allow the vehicle to remain stable in critical situations.
