Mazda is bringing its new Mazda2 to Europe over the coming months prior to its going on sale early next year, writes Brian Byrne.
Instead of debuting the new generation supermini at a major international motor show, it will be shown at the smaller ones in Zurich, Vienna and Brussels.
The new car will be powered by three levels of a 1.5 petrol engine with 75/90/115hp outputs as well as a 1.5 diesel with 105hp. All are low emissions units, ranging between 89g/km-115g/km, reflecting high fuel economy.
The styling follows closely the Hazumi concept from the Geneva Motor Show last March.
