Dacia has given its Duster a stylish new look for 2015, writes Trish Whelan.
The Duster benefits from a package of styling and trim upgrades, with a slight increase of €200 in the pricing.
The line-up includes two and four-wheel drive models based on two trim levels, Alternative 4x2 and Signature 4x2, and Signature 4x4 all powered by the 1.5 dCi 110hp power unit.
New for 2015 is a more stylish chrome front grille made up of two layers of four small intakes surrounding the Dacia logo. All versions now have 'Duster' branded roof bars - chromed on Signature models. At the rear, a black tailgate trim with 'Duster' branding sits above the number plate.
Signature versions have smart new 16-inch alloy wheels, body-coloured door handles and dark metal door mirror casings. New colours include Ice White, Silver, Bronze, Khaki, Pearl Black and Slate Grey with metallic paint an option on both trims for €520.
New upholstery and seats come with every model with the Alternative version finished in a special Osmium cloth, and Signature in Rhodium cloth with 'Duster' lettering.
Highlights on the Alternative model include 16-inch steel wheels, remote central locking, electric front windows, anti-lock brakes with Emergency Brake Assist, Electronic Stability Control and Traction Control, a Tyre pressure monitor, four airbags, an ECO driving mode and gearshift indicator and a four-speed heating and ventilation system. Also on the Alternative version are Bluetooth connectivity, front fog lights, a height-adjustable driver's seat and a 60:40 split rear seat.
All versions are in Tax Band B1 of €270 a year in road tax. Prices are from €16,190-€20,190.
New Duster is available from €159 per month through Dacia's own bank, Dacia Finance.
