More frugal Berlingo

Citroen has squeezed yet more efficiency from the Berlingo van's HDi 75 diesel engine, writes Brian Byrne.

Fuel consumption figures are now 5L/100km (56.5mpg), previously 5.1L/100km (55.4mpg) and CO2 emissions reduced to 131g/km from 133g/km.

Sean O’Neill, Citroen’s National Fleet Manager, says the latest changes will help to maintain the Berlingo’s strong sales performance. "In 2014 so far the Berlingo showed a year-on-year sales growth of 35 percent and remains the top selling model in the Citroën commercial range," he added.

Berlingos are available with a factory built choice of SWB and LWB panel vans, 3-seat panel vans, 5-seat crew vans, enhanced traction vans and platform cabs for special bodywork.

The Berlingo panel van comes with a 3-year 100,000 km manufacturer warranty, whichever comes first.
