These awards were for 'Tyre manufacturer of the Year' and the 'Tyre Technology of the Year'. Both were bestowed on the Company by a panel of industry judges from around the world.
Michelin has spent over €600m a year on research and development. The 'Tyre Technology of the Year' accolade was given in recognition of their EverGrip technology used in their Premier A/S all-season tyre (pictured).
Its rain grooves widen as the tyre wears, reducing the risk of aquaplaning while 'extreme amounts of silica in the EverGrip compound ensure exceptional wet grip for everyday handling'.
