The all-new Mazda2 is now on sale in Ireland with first customer deliveries expected in March. The car competes in the highly competitive B-segment, writes Trish Whelan.
This is the fourth member of Mazda's current model generation with SKYACTIV technology.
The 5-door is available in SKYACTIV-G 1.5 petrol 75hp and 90hp and SKYACTIV-D diesel 105hp engines. Manual and automatic transmissions are offered.
Four grades are offered - SE, Executive, Executive SE and GT. Optional style packs are available.
Technology includes a 7-inch touch-screen and MZD Connectivity system. Active safety features include a Lane Departure Warning System, Cruise Control and Smart City Brake Support.
Mazda say it represents a huge leap in refinement and practicality versus the outgoing model with features and equipment not offered by any of their competitors.
