A substantially revised Ford Focus has now gone on sale in Ireland, priced from €20,295, writes Trish Whelan.
With hatch, saloon and wagon formats, the car features changes to the front and rear, with a new grille in line with the latest style as shown on the recently launched new Mondeo.
Engines in the range include 1.6 and 2.0 diesels, the latter with an automatic option, and the 1.0 EcoBoost 3-cylinder in 100/125hp power options. The entry version has a 1.6 petrol engine.
New safety technologies on offer include a Cross Traffic Alert that warns drivers reversing out of a parking space of approaching traffic from either direction.
There's also an optional Park-Out Assist that helps drivers to get out of a parallel parking space.
