The new Suzuki Vitara has gone on sale in Ireland at a special launch price from €19,995, writes Brian Byrne.
The car is available with 1.6 engines in both petrol and diesel, and is available in both 2WD and 4WD, in three grades.
Up to 80 percent of the Irish sales will be in 2WD, with the most popular model being the diesel-powered GL+, according to Suzuki Ireland.
Standard across the range are seven airbags, Bluetooth, 16" alloys, cruise control, and electric windows.
It's the fourth generation of the model, and is the first Suzuki to be offered with the option of adaptive cruise control and collision mitigation systems including automatic braking when a collision is sensed to be inevitable.
The launch price will be held until October of this year.
