Kia has revealed in full its latest Optima, which will arrive in Europe in the autumn, writes Brian Byrne.
At the New York Show debut, the company showed a car on a longer and wider platform than the current Optima, but very recognisably a new generation of that same nameplate.
The designers have provided a more spacious cabin with an improved level of quality.
Power in the US, where the Optima has for three years been the brand's best-selling model, will be from a choice of three petrol engines including a turbocharged 1.6 with a 7-speed dual clutch transmission. In Europe it will sell mainly with one of Kia's familiar diesels.
