The car is on the same platform that carries the Baleno recently launched in Ireland, the new Ignis will be targeting the likes of Fiat’s Panda 4×4 and similar, and will optionally have a 4WD system based on control of engine torque and brakes.
Based on a concept shown at last year’s Geneva Motor Show, the Ignis is already on sale in Japan and will be part of an extended product lineup for Suzuki in Europe. It will debut in Europe at the upcoming Paris Motor Show.
Engines will be the same as available on the Baleno.
