Non use of indicators frustrates most - survey

Failure to use indicators is ranked at the top of annoyance for Irish motorists, writes Brian Byrne.

A survey by parking and tolling tag provider easytrip found more than six in ten respondents gave that as their top gripe about fellow motorists.

Only a tad over half gave using a mobile phone while driving as an annoyance, while 43pc said the throwing of rubbish out the window made them angry.

Other criticisms included changing lanes too frequently (42pc) and not merging correctly from slip road onto motorways (40pc).
