SEAT Arona is a gas car

Already a smart looker, SEAT is showing off at Geneva an even more fancy treatment of its Arona small SUV, the TGI FR, writes Brian Byrne.

But it's more than looks, the version debuted today comes with a compressed natural gas (CNG) engine option. SEAT is already big into CNG with other passenger cars, and the company claims the Arona will be the first SUV to be so powered.

SEAT also gave its new stand-alone Cupra performance brand its first motor show outing, with the Cupra Ateca SUV (above) and the concept Cupra e-Racer all-electric touring race-car, pictured here with SEAT CEO Luca de Meo.
