Mercedes-Benz unveiled its new EQE electric car at last night's brand preview for the Munich Motor Show, writes Brian Byrne. The car will arrive in Ireland next March, with prices and specifications to be provided at the time of introduction.
The EQE will offer a range of up to 660kms on a charge, and recharging up to 250kms will be possible in 15 minutes at an appropriate charging station.
At the reveal, the company said 10pc of customers are already choosing an electric option, and the brand will be offering an electric option next year in every segment it serves.
SUV versions of the EQS and EQE are on their way. During the evening the company also revealed a concept all-electric Maybach super-luxury car, the Mercedes-Maybach EQS, an electric G-Wagon EQG and a new Smart concept.
