A new version of the most powerful Volkswagen Golf has been revealed as the company celebrates the 50th anniversary of the iconic hatchback, writes Brian Byrne.
Making its public debut at the annual Ice Race in Austria, the latest Golf R appeared in near-production form alongside the 50th anniversary edition, and new GTI, eHybrid and GTE variants.
No details of the performance of the AWD Golf R were released.
