If you were watching the Tour de France in its 111th outing this year, you probably got to see the camouflaged Skoda Elroq that joined in to accompany the riders on the final timed trial of the event, writes Brian Byrne.
It's the 21st year that Skoda has been involved in what is arguably professional cycle racing's most important and arduous event, and now that partnership to provide car transportation to it has been extended to run until 2028.
The brand is currently a partner in 20 top cycling events. For the Tour, 205 Skoda vehicles were provided, including an all-electric Enyaq and a new plug-in-hybrid Superb Combi.
The official premiere of the all-electric Elroq will take place in the autumn.
