3008 Hybrid4 specs revealed

When the new Peugeot 3008 hybrid4 goes on sale early next year it will offer the potential of 99g/km CO2 emissions.

The car will be the first production diesel hybrid in the world and will feature all-electric driving mode as part of its specification.

The car's prime power unit will be a 163hp 2.0 HDI diesel, and an electric motor will increase the total output to 200hp.

The 3008 Hybrid4 will also have AWD, the rear wheels powered by the electric motor when required by conditions. The 6-speed transmissions is electronically controlled, providing both auto and manual operation.

Peugeot reveals '5' concept

This is the latest concept from Peugeot, showing a new direction in the brand's styling.

The '5 by Peugeot' is in the large luxury segment and the production derivative will be powered by Peugeot's 'hubrid4' technology, a 2.0 diesel engine with electric motor for extra power and zero emissions travel in suitable circumstances.

The overall CO2 emissions from the conept are 99g/km, and power output in excess of 200hp.
