Fiat unveiled the all-new Viaggio saloon at the Beijing International Motor Show.
It is the first vehicle produced jointly by Fiat and Chrysler and the first vehicle made in the new GAC Fiat plant in China.
The Viaggio will be amongst the roomiest cars in the C-segment, and its long wheelbase and wide track should ensure class-leading ride and handling as well.
The new car will be the only C-segment vehicle offered exclusively with turbo-charged engines. The 1.4 T-Jet unit will be available with 120hp or 150hp, mated either to a five-speed manual or Fiat's new DDCT dual-clutch transmission.
The new saloon, styled by Fiat's Centro Stilo in Turin, will be known as Viaggio - it means voyage in Italian. There are no plans for European production at this time.
