A wine and walking holiday on the French Way

Camino Ways, the walking and cycling holiday specialists, are now offering a wine and walking experience from €320pp. Two options are offered - to walk the whole french Way from St Jean Pied de Port to Santiago (780km and 35 nights) from €2,835pp or walk a section of the route for a week on the Camino from €320pp.

The French way is the most popular of all the routes to Santiago. Besides the stunning views you will admire along the way, the wine experience is also unforgettable as you will cross several different vineyards, from St Jean Pied de Port to Santiago. You will also meet many other pilgrims as you cross the route.

During the trek from St Jean Pied de Port to Pamplona, you pass through Pays Basque and the Irouleguy Wine Region. You will pass across the Pyrenees to Pamplona and the Navarra Wine region, mixing the stunning landscapes of the Pyrenees with the taste of a traditional Basque Wine.

Another place of interest along the route is Logrono, in La Rioja Wine Region, probably the best-know vineyard along the Camino.

When you arrive at your final destination, Santiago de Compostela, sample the local Galician wine, from the Ribeira Sacra region, such as Albarino, Temera and Dominio do Bibei.

Prices include luggage transfers, en-suite rooms in selected hotels on a half-board basis, luggage transfers from hotel to hotel and a holiday pack. They don't include flights, insurance, dinner on the first night, or drinks.
