Jag Sportbrake in January

The new estate version of the Jaguar XF, the Sportbrake, will go on sale in Ireland in mid-January, writes Trish Whelan from the press drive event in Scotland.

The cars are being produced with a choice of 2.2 and 3.0 diesel engines, each with two power outputs of 161/197bhp 238/271bhp respectively.

Key rivals are the Audi A6 Avant, BMW 5 Series Touring and Mercedes E-Class Estate.

Prices will be announced later this evening.
