More economy from Range Rover Evoque
A new 9-speed automatic gearbox coming available in the 2014 MY Range Rover Evoque will help to improve fuel consumption by more than 11 percent, writes Brian Byrne.
The gearbox was revealed at the Geneva Motor Show last March, and will be mated to the 150hp/190hp 2.2 diesels and the 240hp petrol (not sold in Ireland).
There are also detail changes outside and in the car, which has been highly successful for Land Rover since it went on sale 18 months ago. Global demand for the smallest Range Rover required the addition of a third manufacturing shift.
An optional 'on demand' 4WD system allows the Evoque to operate in FWD only above 35km/h unless conditions require AWD drive
