The Ford EcoSport small SUV will go on sale in Ireland during the first half of 2014, at a starting price of €23,995, writes Brian Byrne.
There will be only one grade, Titanium, and three powertrain options are available — 1.0 EcoBoost petrol, 1.5 petrol automatic, and 1.5 TDCi diesel.
The car will sell at the same price regardless of powertrain.
Designed completely in Brazil as a global car, Ford of Europe have changed some 300 parts to suit the local market, they say.
A first drive impression from the international launch in Barcelona will be posted later.
