New Hyundai i10 is priced from €11,995

Hyundai's i10 small car went on sale last month priced from €11,995-€15,495, writes Trish Whelan.

The car is powered by a 1.0- petrol version, and comes in three trims - Classic, Deluxe and Deluxe automatic. Prices exclude delivery and related charges.

The 5-seater comes with more legroom and shoulder space than its predecessor. It also carries Hyundai's 5-year unlimited mileage manufacturer-backed warranty.

Standard features on the Classic and Deluxe models include ABS, ESP, Tyre pressure monitoring system, seatbelt reminder for all passengers, and power steering on demand. Additional features on the entry level Classic, include tinted windows and windscreen, 14-inch steel wheels with cover, central locking, height adjustable steering wheel, folding rear seats, Day/Night rear mirror, trip computer and back folding rear seats.

The Deluxe version from €13,495 adds 14-inch alloy wheels, Bluetooth, air con, LED Day Time Running Lights, Cornering Lights, front fogs lights, all power windows, front and rear assist Grip, keyless entry, height adjustable driver seat, USB aux connectivity and a blue interior pack, among other features.

Tax band are A3 of €190 a year for the Classic and Deluxe models and B2 of €280 a year for the Deluxe Automatic (priced from €15,495).

Hyundai Ireland expects to double i10 sales this year, with a target to reach sales over 500 units.
