Skoda to roll out most powerful car

Skoda will give a world premiere of its new Skoda Octavia RS 245 at next week’s Geneva Motor Show, writes Brian Byrne, one among a number of variant model debuts.

The RS 245 is the most powerful and fastest production car in the brand’s history, and technology will include an electronically regulated limited slip differential to cope with the power under all circumstances.

The Scout version of the revised Octavia will also make an appearance, offering tough-terrain capability with permanent AWD and increased ground clearance.

The Scout and Sportline variants of the new Kodiaq SUV will also feature on the Skoda stand, as will the revised Rapid and Rapic Spaceback, with a new 1.0 turbocharged petrol engine option which is also available in the revised Fabia.
