In addition to the new Kia Ceed in standard hatchback format, Kia revealed a Sportswagon version at the Geneva Motor Show today, writes Brian Byrne.
With a massive 600 litres of cargo space in the Sportswagon, the new Ceed is also lower and wider than the outgoing car.
Engines in the new Ceed range will include a 120hp 3-cylinder petrol, 140hp 1.4 four petrol, and an entry level 100hp 1.4 petrol. Kia aren't abandoning diesel, with a new 1.6 in a brace of power outputs on the powertrain list.
Kia also revealed a GT-Line grade of its Rio supermini, powered by a 120hp turbocharged 3-cylinder petrol engine.
The version will be on sale in Europe from the end of March, and in addition to GT-Line visual cues it will also have a driver attention warning system, and lane departure warning.
