Opel's new electric Combo passenger car will be on sale in Ireland in the autumn, writes Brian Byrne.
Based on the Combo van, the Combo-e Life will be available in two lengths, accommodating five or seven passengers respectively. One advantage of its van heritage will be an exceptionally large cargo area in both versions. The rated range of the Combo-e Life is 280kms, easily kept topped up while the car is at home, and capable of an 80pc from zero charge in just 30 minutes at a public fast-charge unit.
The car will join the Corsa-e, Mokka-e, Grandland X plug-in hybrid and Zafira-e Life, as the newest member of Opel's electrified passenger car range. Pricing details closer to launch.
