The next generation of the Ford Transit Custom van will have an all-electric version included in the range, writes Brian Byrne.
Due to arrive in the first half of 2023, the vehicle will be built at the Ford Otosan plant in Turkey, following a December decision by Ford to invest €2 billion in the facility (above). Plug-in hybrid, mild hybrid and conventional engine models will also available in the new Transit Custom.
A new 1-tonne Volkswagen van will also be build on the line as part of the Ford-Volkswagen Alliance.
